Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-09-26

1. Who we are

Woolholm is a board game operated by Jeremy Ettlinger ("we", "us"). Playing is free; hosting more than one table a week is an optional paid plan. By signing in or sitting at a table you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

2. Your account

You sign in through Google or GitHub, and your verified email address identifies your account. You are responsible for what happens under it, including any Claude session you connect with a key issued to it. You may not use Woolholm for anything unlawful or in a way that degrades it for other people.

Guests join a table by invite link without an account. Anyone holding the link can join until the host rotates it, so share links only with people you want at your table.

3. Tables and fair play

A host owns their tables: they set the rules, invite players, and can remove the table at any time. There is a limit on how many unfinished tables one account may hold, so that the service stays affordable to run.

Everything at a table — names, moves, and chat — is visible to everyone seated there, and a finished game stays readable as a replay. Be someone the others would invite back. We may remove content or close an account that harasses other players or abuses the service.

4. Hosting and payment

Every account may open one table every 7 days for free. Joining someone else's table is always free. Unlimited hosting costs $4 for 30 days. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, the merchant of record, which handles billing, tax, and receipts; its buyer terms apply to the purchase itself.

A 30-day pass does not renew. If you choose monthly auto-renew at checkout, it renews until you cancel, which you can do yourself at any time from your account page; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Buying a pass while one is running adds 30 days to its end. If a payment is refunded, the access it paid for ends; a chargeback suspends it while it is resolved. Statutory rights to withdraw from a purchase, where they apply to you, are unaffected.

5. Your content

The name you play under and what you type in chat stay yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the game — storing it, showing it to the rest of the table, and replaying it later. We don't sell it and we don't use it to train models.

6. Availability

Woolholm is run in spare time. We work to keep it up, but we don't promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or remove features or close the whole thing down. Where we can, we will say so first, and if a change takes away what you have paid for, we'll refund the unused part of the period.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service. You can stop using Woolholm whenever you like, and delete your account yourself from your account page; an active subscription is cancelled at the same moment and won't renew.

8. Liability

Woolholm is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from its use, including indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

We'll post material changes here and update the date above before they take effect. Continuing to use Woolholm after that means you accept them.
